Company history

Since starting in 1993, HANDSTAND has grown into one of Merseyside’s established producers of

  • documentary-style promotional and information films,
  • drama-based training films and
  • tailor-made digital film making programmes for young people in schools and youth centres and for community groups.

In the last decade or so we have produced or co-produced more than 80 promotional and information films, 6 Broadcast TV documentary series, 33 drama shorts with young people, 6 peer-education films, 10 documentaries with children and teenagers, 10 training films, 2 interactive training DVDs, and many gigabytes of web-teasers, trailers and movies for PowerPoint presentations.

Here you can find the full HANDSTAND Filmography.
A selection of our work can be seen on our Vimeo channel Handstand UK .

We are part of the Liverpool Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP). This was set up to increase opportunities for children and young people across our region to take part in quality art and cultural experiences. The LCEP has developed Culturepool.org where you can search for cultural education resources, activities and experiences for children and young people and find out more about the work of the LCEP.
